| During this reporting period the full impact ofthe Covid 19 |

| pandemic struck us. The amount ofpeople being referred |

| to us escalated beyond all expectation. This situation was |
|||||
| exacerbated by the fact that sourcing food became an |
|||||
| almost impossible task as the public panic bought in |
|||||
| supermarkets, made supermarket delivery slots |
|||||
| unattainable and the supermarkets unwilling to assist to |
|||||
| provide food in the quantities that were now needed. This |
|||||
| was particularly frustrating as the funds to purchase were |
|||||
| available, but supplies offood were not. We were |
|||||
| fortunate that our good relationship with other |
|||||
| organisations, such as the Salvation Army and wholesale |
|||||
| food companies, meant that we were able to work |
|||||
| together to address this concerning issue. |

| The London Borough ofWaltham Forest were able to |
|||||
| benefit from our expertise to assist with the increased | |||||
| demand placed on them to provide emergency food aid. |
