OBJÉCTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The obj￿tIveS of th¢ Charity are to advanc¢ cducation in th¢ area of 8enome and peT￿naliSed medicine ty promoting the development of research and the trnnsfer and ¢ommuni¢ation of knowledge from researchers and scientists in the wider scientific community through collaborative projects and conferences in the field of pharnwogenomics and p¢rsOnalis￿ mdicine. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidan¢e issued by the Charity commissi(￿ in deciding what activities the company SI￿ll1d Undert￿¢. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFOR￿cK The Trustees provided public benefit by providing ¢ducation and training to the general public in the area of g¢nome and personalised medicine. through the organisation of a bi-annual summ¢r ￿h0o1 whue S￿dents can learn from genomi¢ m¢di¢ine specialists. The Chwity generated a deficit during the y¢ar of £25.514 (2022: deficit of £96,657). The reserves held 41 thc year-end amounted to adeficitof £4,148 (2022: a surplus of £21,366) and held to meetthe Charity's objeetivcs. Th¢ Charity is supported bythe Trustees to ensure thAt it¢aD ￿ntInue as agoingo)ncern. Basedonthis support th¢ Charity can fulfil its obligations and th¢r¢ ar¢ no major risks to the Charity. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEME The Tnths may appoint any person to be one of their number. Th¢ Trustee5 review the knowledge and experience of the Trustees and identify training ne¢ds on appointment. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts under se￿10￿ 145 of the 201 l Act and to st*, on the basis of pr(Kedures S￿Ctf￿ in the Genernl DIr￿tIOnS given by the Charity Commissioners under s145(5Xb) of the 2011 ACL whether particular matters have com¢ to my attention.
