Fakenham and Swafftiam have seen a steady increase in the use of the service this year We have a team of over 70 volunteers across the netbvork without whom we would not be able to maintain our service to many more people in need. Many, though not all, of these volunteers have links wrth local churches and all 3 ￿ntre8 run out of church buildings. We have been supported throughoui the year by a steady infiow of food donated by indNiduals, schools, church8s and other organisaknons. We have also been supported by Tesco, Wartrose. Morrisons and the East of England Cooperative Society supennarkets, vtho have allowed us to collect food at the stores on a regular basis wrth pemianent collection points in store We continue to operate our warehouse on Rashes Green in Dereham. A signffi¢ant change to the way ￿ collect and di8triLxrte food this year has been the purthase of an electn'c van. made possible through a grant from ￿ Communty Organisations Cost of Living Fund delivered by the National Lottery Community Fund We coniinue to be grateful to the Wellsprtng Family Centre in Dereham. the Bapts'st Church in Swaffnam and the Salvation Army in Fakenham who continue to provide room for the Distribution Centres operated during the week, free of tharge. The Focrfjbank operates on a voucher scheme and the number of local care agenaes issuing vouchers, such as the Breckland Council, has steadily increased as we have become better known. We now have over ￿ Jencies. v4ho deal with those in crisis in the local communty, who can now issue a voucher that will feed those in need. clierts to us. During the year we were sU￿esSful in receiving other grants to be able to help people wrth er￿rgY costs. These grants amounted to £6CQO and we y￿re able to help roughly 136 households V￿th their domeslic fuel bills. The Tnth believe that Fo(NJbank continues to be a r8al SUc￿$S. not only in serving k)cal people, but also in bringing local churthes knJether to serve their communty in a simple and practical way. The support to the communty has been rewgnise by th8 award of platinurn julylee citizen by the Dereham Town Council to two of our founder members. The charty continues to raise the funds it needs to carry out it$ objects fr(xn a variety of sources indudirvJ grants and donations. The financial resutt8 for the year are set out in the accounts that accompany this report. The Trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefrt. They recognisé that rt is th8ir responsibility to ensur8 that thè benefts ar8 offered in De￿harn. Fakenham and Swafftiam and the surroundirwj ar8a$.
