Section C Objectives and activities Our charity's objects as set out In our Trust Deed are To advance In life and help young people through the provision of support to enable them to advance their education and develop their skills, capacities and capabilities In activitses which they could not otherwise afford The relief of sickness among people with life limiting Illnesses living In Essex by such means as the trustees may determine, In particular but not exclusively, by the provision of recreational activities In the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life Summary ofthe objects ofthe charlty set out in its governing document How our services deliver public benefit We provide a unique Servi￿ to people with life limiting illnesses who live in Essex, by organising a series of outings for them to look forward to throughout their Illness Each applicant has their own ambassador who organises their outings and keeps In touch with the family We have amended our objectives, so that we can give Good Days, not only to people with life limiting Illnesses, but also to members of their families who may be In need of some respite We are working with five Essex hospices, CLIC Sargent charity, Southend Hospital Palliative Care Oncology department and an Increasing number of individual doctors to try and ensure that everyone who could benefit from the David Randall Foundation knows about the charity Ambassadors and hospice staff liaise regularly to ensure our applicants receive the best possible care and that their outings are organised with their unique needs In mind We work In co-ordination with local businesses, Plume Academy and Maldon Cricket Club to promote the David Randall Foundation We have forged a link with Maldon CVS which gives advice and provides links to people In need In the Maldon District Our grants for music and sport give opportunities to young people who may not othewise be able to afford to maximise their talent Due to the fact that we are a small local charity run entirely by volunteers we are regularly contacted by hospices who ask us to provide an outing or treat for someone who has Just weeks or even days to live It Is our privilege to be able to organise these outings promptly In making all these decisions the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission concerning Public Benefit Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guldance issued by the Charity Commlssion on public benefit) TAR April 2024

Section D Achievements and performance At our June 2023 AGM under the terms of our Deed Trust all of the family trustee members were up for re-election All the trustees were willing to be elected for a further term and were duly voted In Since that AGM one of the trustees has died and at 2024s AGM we began positively seeking new trustees Summary of the maln achievements of the charity during the year The year to March 2024 was a quieter one for the David Randall Foundation as many of the applicants for Good Days applied very late In their Illness and did not live long enough to have outings During the coming year we will be contacting all the Institutions who refer applicants to us to discuss how applicants can be put In touch with us sooner However a record number of scholarship applications were received In February 2024 we awarded a scholarship to a flautist and Inspirational Awards to a figure skater, a tennis player and a sailor We decided to sponsor members of Essex County Cricket Club's disability team We continue to monitor the defibrillators we have Installed in the local area and where there Is deemed to be a need will consider further purchases Our annual Rock Up For Randall fundraiser was well supported and made a profit In excess of £8,000 Running our Santa Fun Run as a community event has proved so successful that we decided to continue with this. We were fortunate to receive financial support from a number of local clubs and societies, resulting in a significant Increase In our Income for the year TAR Aprll 2024

Section E Financial review The amount of reserves held at the end of the period Is £178,576, which Is an Increase of £14,016 against the previous year end Given the need to maintain a sound financial basis for the charity to develop Its activities, the Trustees felt the reserves were within acceptable guidelines of the Charity Commission Brief ststement of the charity's policy on reserves Detsils of any funds materially in deficit No funds are In deficit Further financial review details (Optional information) Since its Inception on the passing of David In July 2012, the Foundation's Trustees focussed Initially on generating a level of funds sufficient to ensure that we can provide an appropriate degree of support to fulfil the wishes of applicants and enable the Foundation to meet our objectives You may choose to Include additional Information, where relevant about. the charity's principal sources of funds (including any fundraising), how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity, Investment policy and objectives Including any ethical Investment policy adopted As a result the Foundation created In David's name has been successful In accumulating funds through the support and donations received from number of sources, as outlined In this report This has resulted In the accumulation of funds totalling £178,576 at the end of the financial year The resources generated provide a sound financial basis from which the Foundation can work to deliver Its objectives As a result the Trustees are Increasingly building relationships with other relevant organisations, as we seek applicants that meet our criteria and we are able to help. The funding and donations provided to date have not been restricted to specific purposes and the Trustees have not yet chosen to designate any funds for specific purposes Therefore all of the funds are held In general reserves without restriction As and when donors provide us with funds for a specific purpose these will be restricted to the purposes requested Fundraisin Maldon Cricket Club holds an annual event Rock Up For Randall Local businesses and other organisations have sponsored and supported us Our Santa Fun Run has become an annual event In the local events calendar enditure Has primarily been on providing regular outings for nearly 300 families with a member who has a Iife-limiting Illness, specifically the primary objective of the Foundation Has also been Incurred on the other objective of the Foundation awarding a scholarship to a flautist to develop her musical skills And Inspirational Awards to a figure skater, a tennis player and a sailor Investment Funds not Immediately required to deliver services to our applicants have been placed on deposit with reputable banks to earn Interest, without placing the funds at any risk TAR Aprll 2024
