The trustees Consider that these activities, summarised below, provide benefit to the cofflmunity in and around the Kingsbury (London) area. We have identified and established a learning centre al a new location to provide its learning aclivib'es for the benefit of the local communty. Religious and Soclal Aetivitles Our trust provides a base for various local activities associated with our faith and lture. DuTing the period under review. we offered a range of social and religiou5 activiti85 including- Soclal Actlvltles Our family funfair at local High School provided the local community an ideal opportunity to gather with their family and friends in the summer for a special day out with kids, which brought logether whole community to strengthen the ties among the families as part ol their social needs. Ihis included special CPR Iraining. sports activities and traditional food & clothing stalls et¢. Ramadan and EID: During the Ramadan period we have made spwal arrangements to perform Tharaweeh prayers for ladies and genls including special talks in the locality. We also arranged Ramazan breakfast arrangements for the community where the families could get together for breakfast, we have also exlend8d our activilies during the EID periods by aangIng EID prayers arKI other social get together. Regular programmesllslamic LectureslLadies Circles: We have organised special Islamic lectures delivered by learned scholars on various subjects, which aims to provide a wider knowiedge to the members of the Muslim community on bringing up their children. parent and children relationship. promote social cohesion and also to advance education. Prayers: Daily and Friday prayer arrangements at hired locations in the localty. this provides th8 OPPOrtuntty for the local community lo do their regular prayers in the locality and maintain their spiritual and religious belief. it is noted that around 250 people allend regularly for Fnday prayers. Childrenlyouth Activities: We have organised our local community various children's stage perfomance- based events and career guidance & other youth development programmes. FINANCIAL REVIEW Reserves pollcy The trustees have reviewed the reserves of the charity. Their policy is to hold suificient funds to meet three months, operating ¢osts of the organisation's regular activities. I report on the financial statements of the Charity, which have been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 1993 and with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entitiès {FRSSE), effective January 2007. adapted to meet the needs of unincorporated organisations. as modified by the Statement of Recommended Practice for A¢unting and Reporting issued by the Charity Commissioners for England & Wales, effective April 2008 as modtfied in June 2008. (The SORP). under the historlcal cost convention and the accounting policies sel out in Ihe notes to the financial statements. Respéctive rosponsibilities of lrnstees and examlner As described on page 3. the Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparatron of the financial slatements. The trustees are satisfied that the audit requirement of Section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply, and that there is no requirement in the governing document or constttution of the Chanty for the conducting of an audit. Consequently. the trustees have elected that the financkal statements be subject to independentexamination. Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audil, and is eligible for Independent examination. it is my responsibility to-. al examine the accounts under section 43 of the Act. b) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Diroctions given by the Charity Commission under section 43(7)Ib) of the Act. and. c) to state whether matters have come to my attention. It also includes consideration of any unusual item5 or disctosures in the financial statements and seeknng explanations from you as trustees conceming such matters.
