Kingsbury Islamic Cultural Centre-London (KICC) is constituted as a Charitable trust registered with the
Charity Commission on 26th February 2013 under charity number 1150973. It is governed by a deed of trust
submitted with the registration.
The trustees shall hold th8 trust fund and its incom6 upon trust to apply thern for the followlng objects ("th8
objects-) In the Unrted Kingdom and in Sri Lanka (Ihe area of benefit.)
To advance the Islamic Religion for the public benefft.
To advance education for the public benefit.
To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social wolf8re for recreation or othor
leisure time occupation of individuals who havo of such facilities by reason of their youth, age

Risk management
The trustees have assessed the risks the charty faces and have drawn up a risk matrix ￿1¢h identifies the
major risks by area of activity. trte nature of those risks, the likelihood of the risks happening. and the
measures taken to manage them. The trustees review this risk matrix regularly at their meetj'ngs. The trustees
are satisfied that systems are in place. or arrangements are in hand. to manage th6 risks that have been
identified. Insurance cover is in place and the finances of the trust are kept under review.

Use of Volunteers
Voluntoars are an important resource in both our failh and community work. Voluntegrs are involved In most of
our farth and community 8clivilies. All our Iruslees and the volunteers give th8ir time freely. We encouragg all
community members of KICC to be involved in voluntary activities and to share their skills with others.

Charity Law requires the Board to prepare financial statements for gach financial year vthich give a true and fair
view of the state of affairs of ihe charity as at the end of the financial year and of the surplus or deficit of the

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable actlvltles
Howour activities deliver publlc benef
The charity carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its charitsble aims. The trustees Consider that
these activities, summarised below, provide benefit to the cofflmunity in and around the Kingsbury (London)
area. We have identified and established a learning centre al a new location to provide its learning aclivib'es for
the benefit of the local communty.
Religious and Soclal Aetivitles
Our trust provides a base for various local activities associated with our faith and ￿lture. DuTing the period
under review. we offered a range of social and religiou5 activiti85 including-
Soclal Actlvltles
Our family funfair at local High School provided the local community an ideal opportunity to gather with their
family and friends in the summer for a special day out with kids, which brought logether whole community to
strengthen the ties among the families as part ol their social needs. Ihis included special CPR Iraining. sports
activities and traditional food & clothing stalls et¢.
Ramadan and EID: During the Ramadan period we have made spwal arrangements to perform Tharaweeh
prayers for ladies and genls including special talks in the locality. We also arranged Ramazan breakfast
arrangements for the community where the families could get together for breakfast, we have also exlend8d
our activilies during the EID periods by a￿angIng EID prayers arKI other social get together.
Regular programmesllslamic LectureslLadies Circles: We have organised special Islamic lectures
delivered by learned scholars on various subjects, which aims to provide a wider knowiedge to the members of
the Muslim community on bringing up their children. parent and children relationship. promote social cohesion
and also to advance education.
Prayers: Daily and Friday prayer arrangements at hired locations in the localty. this provides th8 OPPOrtuntty
for the local community lo do their regular prayers in the locality and maintain their spiritual and religious belief.
it is noted that around 250 people allend regularly for Fnday prayers.
Childrenlyouth Activities: We have organised our local community various children's stage perfomance-
based events and career guidance & other youth development programmes.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves pollcy
The trustees have reviewed the reserves of the charity. Their policy is to hold suificient funds to meet three
months, operating ¢osts of the organisation's regular activities.

I report on the accounts for the yEarathJ 31 March 2024 set out on pages 6tr)9.
I report on the financial statements of the Charity, which have been prepared in accordance with the
Charities Act 1993 and with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entitiès {FRSSE), effective
January 2007. adapted to meet the needs of unincorporated organisations. as modified by the Statement of
Recommended Practice for A¢￿unting and Reporting issued by the Charity Commissioners for England &
Wales, effective April 2008 as modtfied in June 2008. (The SORP). under the historlcal cost convention
and the accounting policies sel out in Ihe notes to the financial statements.
Respéctive rosponsibilities of lrnstees and examlner
As described on page 3. the Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparatron of the financial slatements.
The trustees are satisfied that the audit requirement of Section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) does
not apply, and that there is no requirement in the governing document or constttution of the Chanty for the
conducting of an audit. Consequently. the trustees have elected that the financkal statements be subject to
independentexamination.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audil, and is eligible for Independent
examination. it is my responsibility to-.
al examine the accounts under section 43 of the Act.
b) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Diroctions given by the Charity Commission under
section 43(7)Ib) of the Act. and.
c) to state whether matters have come to my attention.
Basls of oplnlon and SCO￿ of workundertaken
I conducted my examination in accordance wtth the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners
for England & Wales in relation to the conducbng of an independent examination, referred to above. An
independent examination includes a review of Ihe accounting records kept by the Charity and of the
accounting systems employed by the Charity and a comparison of the financial statements presented with
those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual item5 or disctosures in the financial statements
and seeknng explanations from you as trustees conceming such matters. The Pufpose of tho examination
is to establish as far as possible that there have been no breaches of the Charities legislation and that the
financial statements compty with ihe Statement of Recommended Practice i3sued by the Charity
Commissioners for England & Wales (effective April 20081, on a test basis. of evrdence relevant lo the
amounts and disclosures in the f￿ancial statements.
Th8 procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit . and information
supplied by the trustees in the course of the examination is nol subjected to audit tests or enquiries. and
consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by th8 financial statements, and in
partiGular, l express no oplnion as to wheiher ine finanaal ststements give a true and fair view of Ihg affairs
of the charity, and my report is limited to the matters set out in the statement below.
I planned and perfomied our examination so as to satisfy myself that tha objectrvos of the independent
examination afe achieved and before finalising the repor( l obtain written assurances from the trustees of all

1. Accountlng policies
Basls ol preparation of the accounts
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard for Smaller
Entities (FRSSE), effective January 2007, and 211 other applicable accounting standards, as modified by the
2005 Revision of the Stalemenl of Recommended Practice for AwA)unting and Reporting issued by the Charity
Commissioners for England & Wales, effectwe April 2005, adapted to meet the needs of unincorporated
organi5ation5. The accounts have been drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Charities Acts and
include the results of the charity's operations which are described in the Trustees. Report, all of which a
nlinuing.
Insofar as the Slalement of Recommended PractiGe for Accounting and Reportin9 issued by the Charity
Commissioners for England & Wales, effective April 2005 requires compliance with specific Financial Reporting
Stsndards other than the FRSSE then the specific Financial Reporting Standards have been followed where
their requirements differ from those of the FRSSE.
Accountlng Convention
The financial statements are prepared, on a going concem basis. urKler the historical cost convention.
Incoming Resources
Incoming resources consists of donations, Friday cCAle￿i0ns. membership contributions and charity activities
are accounled for on a receivable basis. income includes also the funds generated prior to registration of the
eharily. which was entrusted to the charity upon its incorwaiion.
Taxatlon
The charity is exemptfrom tax on rts charitable activitses.
Fund accounting
Un￿stricted funds can be used in accordance wrth the tharitable objectives at the discretion of the tN5tees.
Restricted funds can only be used for restri¢led purposes wrthin the objects of the charity. Restrictions 8rise
when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for reslricted purposes.
