Because of the Coronavirus pandemic and
restrictions imposed on indoor gatherings by
the Welsh Government the normal activities
of the church were severely impacted during
the year, and many had to be curtailed or
moved online.
Even though the congregation was not able
to meet in person for substantial periods of
time the Church continued to hold worship
services each week, which included a
children’s message, together with midweek
meetings for bible study and prayer. An
online youth meeting during term times also
continued. When some face to face meetings
were able to take place social distancing was
practiced and this meant that two morning
services were held to accommodate those
who wished to attend.
Meetings that were not able to continue
included a weekly meeting for those with
learning and physical disabilities, a play
group for mums and toddlers, a children’s
meeting during school term times as well as
monthly lunches and monthly services at two
local care homes in Flint.
