Seasonal Res onses Being aware of how diffi¢ull Christmas can be for people in prison. this year we provided 6.3(X) Christmas gift packs to all prisoners in Scotland and all prisoners in our local prisons In North-East England. For our community clients we deliVe￿d 100 advent calendars, 100 Christmas gifts bags, 30 food hampers. and 6 turkey and vegetable packs. For Easter, we produced 5,000 Easter packs lo be distributed in prisons and the local communlty. Packs included 8 Hope magazine, chocolate. Easter card creative activity. and luxury hygiene products. We also delivered 100 Easter packs and 100 Easter eggs in Ihe Community to our clients. Tele hone befriendin scheme In earty 2021. Junelion 42 was onboardeil by Volunteer Matters lo offer aTelephone Befriending Sermce lo people who were currently serving th8ir Sentences in thg community. Junction 42 have been delighted lo provide support lo the most vulnerable by providing telephone calls lo help those feeling isolated during this panderTTiC. providing general conversations andlor giving helpful lips on how to occupy time in 8 pro.social manner. Ir￿oMe for the year included successful funding from the Department for Work and Pen￿onS, His Majesty's Prison and ProbalK)n Service, Sodexg, Volunteering Matters and Trust funders.
