FINANCIAL REVIEW Funds in Surplus The charity received donations of £70.615 (2021: £90.147) for the period to 31st December 2022. After outgoing expenses of £67,240 (2021.. £58,895), the ¢harity was left with a surplus of £3,375 {2021.. £31.2521 for the period to 31st December 2022. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity truslees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {Ihe Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carrred out under Section 145 of the Act and in ¢arrying OLrt my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 14515)Ibl of the Act. Indopondent oxaminerfs statement I have completed my examination. Statement of Recommended Pradice applicable to charilies preparing their accounts in accordance wth Ihe Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1 January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. Income All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement lo Ihe funds, it is probable that the income will be re￿iVed and Ihe amount Can be measured reliably. Expendlture Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a 18gal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expendrture, it is probable that a transfer of economic bénefits will be required in settlement and the amounl of the obligation can be measured reliably.
