Trustees’ Report for the period ending 31 August 2024
The Trustees are pleased to present their report together with the accounts of Friends of Valley End COE Infant School, known as FOVE, (the charity), for the year ending 31 August 2024.
Objectves
Friends of Valley End COE School is a charity that aims to enhance the education of pupils at the school by:

Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school

Engaging in activities or providing facilities of equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils
Actvites
The trustees typically organise a number of events during the year with the support of the wider committee to operate schemes such as the second hand uniform store.
We are dependent upon, and very grateful to our parent/carer community who have given their time, money and resources towards helping FOVE meet its objectives.
The trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trust’s objectives and in planning future activities.
Consttuton
The constitution of the Charity was adopted on 28 March 2012 and was based on the model constitution for Parent Teacher Associations made available at that time by PTA-UK.

Financial review
At a minimum, we aim to maintain a balance of £5,000 which covers an annual contribution to the school’s administrative costs and our own annual PTA membership costs.
The Trustees review income and expenditure on a periodic basis and the level of expenditure is set to ensure that there will be adequate resources available to meet commitments made as they fall due.
