The Circuit promotes the 2 pillars of Methodism social holiness, by encouraging its members to make disciples and to work for social justiC8. We will have confidènce in sharing the good news, both within the church and the wider contexts we are in. We will Seek to collaborate wlth others. both ecumenlcally and across the circult. The Circull continues to benefft from the work of local preachers and worshlp 18aders. A full review ol the circuit was undertakgn In early 202210 plan staffing for the future. From September 2023 the Superintèndent was Statloned In the Barton seclion and will also mean sorne changes in pastoral overslght in the circuit. A full Circuit review had been plannéd in 2024 but this has been delayed until 2025 Churchg8 Whllst som8 chur¢hes have struggled to lind office hoid8rs they are managlng to fulfil their mission in their locality The sort of activities that churches ar8 involved in Include weekly Bibl8 Studi8S, Prayer Meetings, Worship for you, God Space, Breakfast Clubs, Lego Club, Environmental Club. Christchurch and Wlml>orne Methodlst Clrcult Annual Roport for year endlng 31•t August 20241continued Property Witchampton- unfortunately this property r8mains unsold but we contlnue working with the original purchaser which may well be at a much reduted price Bransgore- The original sale fell through duè in Ihe main to a Southem Electrlc easement, which has been resolved and Savill's will resume marketing Horton Heath- Trusteeship situation has not been resolved and our legal advlsors may well have to take the matter to court. All church pr8mises well maintained. Quinquennlal Inspections are up to date The clrcuit manses are all well maintained. The Barton Manse has undergone mq'or refurbishment and Verwood Manse has new windows and doors. The Bransgore Manse has b8en 801d. 6. Flnanclal Revlew At 3111 August 2024 the unrestrlctsd funds of the Clrcult totslled £169,997 èxcludlng properties and the Model Trust fund At 31st August 2024 the Circult held the following unrestrlcted funds General Fund Manse Property Fund Model Trust Fund Witchampton Fund Bransgor8 Fund Horton Heath Fund TOTAL 136,865 2,964 345,181 8,081 19.677 5.374 518,142 The Clrcult also owns Freehold Property valued by the truste88 at £2.705,000. 7. Grants Pollcy Nomial property grants 10% of cost up to a maximum of £10.OIX). Grants above that level are subject to special considération by the Clrcuit Meeting. Mission and Outreach project grants churches are exp8Ct8d to meet at least 50% of the cost. 8. Risk Management Income and Expenditure Is being monllored in totsl and are compared with the approved annual budget on a half yearly basis to deteci trends as part of the risk management prOS to avoid unfor8seen calls on res8Nes.

Among other things this implies a duty to value all people as bearing the image of God and therefore to protect them from ham. The Christchurch & Wlmbome Circuit commits itself to ensuring the implémentation of Connéxional Safeguarding Policy. government leglslation, guid8nc8, and safe practice in the circuit and in the churches. Th8 Christchurch & Wimbome Circult commits itsew to the provision of support, advice and training for lay and ordained people that will ensure pgoplo are clear and confidènt about their roles and responsibilitses in safeguarding and promoling the welfare of children and adults who m8y ba vulnerablg. 10. R8soNe8 Pollcy 10.1 The Circult's objectives and actlvities are to facllitate sharlng of resources amongst the local churches to empower ihem to function as effective, witn8ss, misslon. and Caring centres. To do thls the Clrcuil Provides rninistèrfal oversight for the 13 churches within the Circuit. Employs 8 team of lay employegs to support the 8Ctiviti85 of the Circult. Maintains a portfollo of m8ns8s across th8 circuit to provSde resldentlal accommodation for minlsters. Surplus accommodationls tenanted to generate income for investment in the manse portfolio. The activltles ar8 funded by assossments on th8 churches In tho Circult whlch are r8viewed annually. In sgtting Sts budget for the year the Clrcuit M88tlng considers the projected impact of changes in staffing levels. The currenl18v81 of general resèrves and property fund reserves aro currently £139,828 givlng the clrcult ample funds to meet commitments over the comlng y8ar including the maintenance of manses. Taking Into consid8ration all the above factors the clrcuit needs to hold In the combined general and property funds of £102,000 bèing 3 months expenditure. Model Trust Fund at £345,181 is held as a serye to cover major personnel and property expense.
