						pandemic. Investment income, on the
						other hand, was 22% (R1,462) lower than
						in the previous year, as a result of
						difficult stock market conditions, which
						impacted directly on investment yield.
						The Clergy Rest Fund donated K1,500,
						which was utilised as a grant to a
						member ofclergy. There was a one-off
						payment ofF14,465 in support ofa trip
						to the Holy Land undertaken by the
						Bishop ofExeter and a group of35
						curates, which was an important
						contributing factor in the Fund leading
						to a deficit in the year. However, no
						such trip or similar, significant items of
						one-off expenditure are planned for
						2023.
