To provide facilities for everyone to see and learn about the experimental camp held in 1907 on Brownsea Island which started the worldwide Scout and Guide movements and the history since then to date and to encourage all young people to enjoy the open air by camping and outdoor activities.

Objects: 1.to Advance The Education Of The Public In The History Of The Scout Movement In Particular By The Provision,operation And Maintenance Of A Heritage Centre.2.to Promote The Development Of Young People In Achieving Their Full Physical,intellectual,social And Spiritual Potential As Individuals,as Responsible Citizens And As Members Of Their Local,national And International Communities In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Provision Of Such Activities And Pursuits As The Trustees May Determine.
