None Other Achievements and Perforniance SORP reference Work has concentrated on the long-awaited new access road to the railway. There have been hold ups caused by the need to satisfy the requirements of third-paty landowners, but we are now close to complets'ng the acquisition of this land. There have been incredible efforts by the volunteers and steamrollers to complete the road and money is available and pledged to getting this project finalised. In parallel with this, the Trustees are focused on acquiring the four sects.ons of track bed going south to Helston. The key thing will shortly now be to fundraise to get that extra land under our control. The maintenance, development and operation of the Helston Railway brings considerable public benefit to an area of West Comwall. Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The Chariti s Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this period (under section 144 of The Charities Act 2011 (The Charities Act), and that an independent examination is needed. It is our responsibility to: Examine the accounts (under section 145 of The Charities Act), To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under sectson 145(5)(B) of The Charities ACL and To state whether particular matters have come to our attention. Basis of Independent Examiner's Report Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includcs consideration of any unusual items or disclosurcs in the accounts, and seeking cxplanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
