SORP reference
Work has concentrated on the long-awaited
new access road to the railway. There have
been hold ups caused by the need to satisfy the
requirements of third-paty landowners, but we
are now close to complets'ng the acquisition of
this land.
There have been incredible efforts by the
volunteers and steamrollers to complete the
road and money is available and pledged to
getting this project finalised.
In parallel with this, the Trustees are focused on
acquiring the four sects.ons of track bed going
south to Helston. The key thing will shortly now
be to fundraise to get that extra land under our
control.
The maintenance, development and operation
of the Helston Railway brings considerable
public benefit to an area of West Comwall.
