Activities

Matts Mission Children's Charity grants wishes to seriously ill children with Cancer and Special Needs. The charity aim is all about making children's smiles glow, we provide family trips as well as gifts to children in a hospital or hospice. The charity has an adapted holiday home in which we provide free breaks for the whole family. We also offer sibling support sessions.

Objects: The Charity’s Objects (“The Objects”) Are As Follows:1 To Advance In Life And Relieve Needs Of Children Who Are Diagnosed With Cancer And Young People Generally Through The Provision Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;2 The Relief Of Sickness And The Preservation Of Health Among People Residing Permanently Or Temporarily In Birmingham.3 To Relieve Those In Need In Particular By Assisting In The Treatment And Care Of Persons Suffering From Mental Or Physical Illness Of Any Description Or In Need Of Rehabilitation As A Result Of Such Illness, By The Provision Of Facilities For Work And Recreation.4 To Promote And Protect The Physical And Mental Health Of Sufferers Of Children With Cancer In Birmingham Through The Provision Of Equipment, Support, Education And Practical Advice.5 To Advance The Education Of The General Public In All Areas Relating To Children Suffering With Cancer. 6 To Relieve Sickness, Poor Health Amongst People Living In Birmingham By Providing Trips And Events That Will Provide Respite Support To Children And Families.7 To Relieve Sickness And To Preserve The Health Of The Patients In Hospitals And Hospices In Birmingham By Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Equipment, Facilities And Services Not Normally Provided By The Statutory Authorities And Ancillary To Those Provided By Doctors Or Other Medical Staff.8 To Further Such Other Charitable Purposes For The Public Benefit As Are Exclusively Charitable According To The Laws Of England And Wales As The Trustees May From Time To Time Determine."
