The financial statements have been prepared in accordan with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the accounts. Structure, Governance and Management Love and Compassion in Action was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on P May 2010 and is governed by the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Directors are appointed by the members of the Trust. The business of the Trust is managed by the Board of Directors. Results for the year ended 31 March 2025 This yearfs operation gave rise to a net surplus of £11.425 (Year ended 31 March 2024, net deficit of £4,092). Govemance costs were £3,401 (Year ended 31 March 2022: £2.222}. AccouKfiNG POLICIES a) Basis of Preparation The financial statements have been prepared: in accordance wtth Statement of Recommended Practi applicable to charities (Charities SORP), effective from 1 January 2016 and applicable accounting standards under the historic cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effeclive January 2015). The income and expenditure actount has bn prepared in a fomiat which differs from that prescribed by the Companies Act 2006 in order to present a true and fair view. The effect of this departure is to aer the presentation of the accounts because Schedule 4 Companies Act 2006 and the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities fomats are not suitable for a company which is wholty dependent on donations and not in business to generate a profrt. b) Donations and gifts These are reflected in the accounts in the year in which they are received. c) Expenditure This is shown on an accruals basis. d) Charitable Expenditure This comprises all expenditure directly related to the objects of the Trust.
