REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS
The Directors present their report and the financial statements of the Company for the year ended
31" March 2025. The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with the accounting
policies set out in note 1 to the accounts.
Structure, Governance and Management
Love and Compassion in Action was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on P May
2010 and is governed by the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Directors are appointed by
the members of the Trust. The business of the Trust is managed by the Board of Directors.
Results for the year ended 31 March 2025
This yearfs operation gave rise to a net surplus of £11.425 (Year ended 31 March 2024, net deficit
of £4,092).
Govemance costs were £3,401 (Year ended 31 March 2022: £2.222}.
Summary of the Charity's Objects and Activities
a) The relief of poverty, sickness and distress throughout India
Aclivities: Construction of bore wells to supply good clean drinking water.
Providing children's clothing & saris for widows
Helping with children's schooling & adult educationltraining.
Enabling post polio disabled young people to receive medical & surgical treatment.
Protecting the human rights of the vulnerable
b) The advancement of the Christian Religion throughout India
Acb'vities: Supporting village Pastors
Building Communty Churches
Distribution of Christian literatu
Bi-annual trip by a Board member to *& encourage the Pastors & village
communities
c) Other charitable purposes in India as the Trustees may detennine.

under section 145 of the 201 l Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

cause to believe that any material respect:

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions relating to small
companies within Part 15 of the Companies 2006 and with the Financial Reporting Standard
for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015).
For the year ending 31 March 2025 the Company was entitled to exemption from audit under
section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small Gompanies.
Directors, responsibilities".
The members have not required the Company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in
question in accordan￿ with section 476. The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for
complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation
of accounts
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies
subject to the small company's regime.

l. AccouKfiNG POLICIES
a) Basis of Preparation
The financial statements have been prepared:
in accordance wtth Statement of Recommended Practi￿ applicable to charities
(Charities SORP), effective from 1 January 2016 and applicable accounting standards
under the historic cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard for Smaller Entities (effeclive January 2015).
The income and expenditure actount has b￿n prepared in a fomiat which differs from that
prescribed by the Companies Act 2006 in order to present a true and fair view. The effect of
this departure is to a￿er the presentation of the accounts because Schedule 4 Companies
Act 2006 and the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities fomats are not suitable
for a company which is wholty dependent on donations and not in business to generate a
profrt.
b) Donations and gifts
These are reflected in the accounts in the year in which they are received.
c) Expenditure
This is shown on an accruals basis.
d) Charitable Expenditure
This comprises all expenditure directly related to the objects of the Trust.

requirements and any other costs which cannot be treated as charrtable expendrture.

3. STAFF COSTS
The Trust did not employ any staff during the year.
No remuneration was paid to any of the directors during the year. Expenses reimbursed to
directors totalled £324 (Year ended 31 March 2024: £367) durtng the year.

All funds given for a speufsc purpose were used for the purpose given or retained to be used for
that purpose at a future date.

The Company is exempt from taxation in accordance with Part 10 of the Income Tax Act 2007
and so has no liabilty to corporation tsx.

The Company is limited by guarantee and each member ts under covenant to contribute a sum

Association.
