Activities

On July 11 2014 we opened as a museum we made BBC Central News on several occasions. Our last appearance was Inside Out February 2019.We work with local schools, scouts, U3A etc. Within the museum we have photographs, artefacts showing past mining equipment and the social history of a mining village.We have done outreach at Bestwood, Mansfield, Pleasley, Langwith, Rufford and Newark.

Objects: To Advance Education For The Public Benefit In Local History, In Particular But Not Exclusively Of The Agricultural, Mining And Social History Of Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, By Providing Lectures, Meetings, And Facilities For Cataloguing, Recording And Storing Small Artefacts, Photographs, Documents And Providing Educational Resources For Local Schools And The Wider Public.
