ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL SRI LANKANS IN THE UK – ANNUAL REPORT 2020/21

The Association of Professional Sri Lankans in the UK (‘’APSL’’) (UK Registered Charity No: 1145786) launched an Emergency Relief Fund (“ERF”) on 24th March 2020 to support vulnerable people & deserving families in Sri Lanka as they started to face many hardships due to the current Corona (Covid-19) pandemic.

APSL in collaboration with Hela Sarana donated 300 KN 95 respirator Masks to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), Colombo (aka the IDH). This was jointly funded by Hela Sarana and the kind donations of Sri Lankans living in the UK and around the world through the APSL- Emergency Response Fund (APSL-ERF).

APSL launched the Emergency Relief Fund on 25th March 2020 to support needy families and hospitals in Sri Lanka affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This week we completed the programme having provided Rs. 3.2 million worth of assistance to 1650 families and nine key Hospitals
