Activities
The Trust works in the former South East Wales Industrial Valleys. It Curently works with Wild Life Trusts, Councils as well as Schools and environmental Bodies such as Groundwork and Natural Resources Wales. Current Activities include the Running of School programes on River habitat and it's importance to the community as well as the important work of improving access to fish over man made weirs
Objects: The Objects For Which The Company Is Established Are:(a) To Promote The Conservation, Protection, Rehabilitation And Improvement Of The Rivers, Streams, Water Courses And Water Impoundments In The Rivers Taff, Ely, Rhymney, Ebbw, And Sirhowy Together With Their Catchment Areas In All Their Aspects In South East Wales And Adjacent Areas Of Their Banks And Riparian Lands (b) To Promote The Conservation, Rehabilitation And Protection Of The Indigenous Species Of Animal And Plant Life Of The Rivers, Streams, Water Courses And Water Impoundments In The Rivers Taff, Ely, Rhymney, Ebbw, And Sirhowy Together With Their Catchment Areas In All Their Aspects In South East Wales And Adjacent Areas Of Their Banks, Riparian Lands And Thereby Enhance The Biodiversity In The South East Wales Area.(c) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Understanding Of Aquatic Habitats, Their Related Catchment Areas And Their Animal And Plant Life And The Need For The Conservation, Protection And Rehabilitation And Improvement Of Such Environments.
