Activities
Our charity was set up by local residents in September 1977; the aim of the charity is to enhance the lives of local residents. The charity owns and runs Firthmoor Community Centre which houses several services, including a Nursery, Cafe, Playgroup, Games Area and a Dental Clinic. The charity also supports services such as a credit union, citizens advice, childcare services and a local food bank
Objects: A) To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Firthmoor And Lascelles Park District And The Neighbourhood Thereo (From Now On In The Document Called The "Area Of Benefit") Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Options, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.b) To Establish Or To Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre And To Maintain And Manage The Same, Whether Alone Or In Co-Operation With Any Local Authority Or Other Person Or Body In Furtherance Of These Objects.
