Size of Wales aims to engage the people in Wales in helping to protect an area of tropical forests totaling two million hectares, through direct fundraising with employers, individuals, companies and match funding the fundraising efforts of our partners. Size of Wales also raises awareness, in Wales and the wider UK, of the importance of tropical forests for the global climate.

Objects: 1 To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Sustainable Management Of The Physical And Natural Environment In Any Part Of The World (including The World's Climate Systems) And In Particular, But Not Limited To, Tropical Forests.2 To Promote Sustainable Development For The Benefit Of The Public By:(a) The Conservation, Protection And Sustainable Management Of The Physical And Natural Environment (including The World's Climate Systems) And The Prudent Use Of Tropical Forests And Other Natural Resources;(b) The Relief Of Poverty And The Improvement Of The Conditions Of Life In Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Communities Anywhere In The World And In Particular, But Not Limited To, Such Communities In Africa; And (c) The Promotion Of Sustainable Means Of Achieving Economic Growth And Development.3 To Advance The Education Of The Public (in Particular, But Not Limited To, In Wales) In: (a) The Conservation, Protection And Sustainable Management Of The Physical And Natural Environment (including The World's Climate Systems) And In Particular, But Not Limited To, The Tropical Forests Of The World; And(b) Sustainable Development And Subjects Related To Sustainable Development (and To Promote Research And Study In Such Subjects, Provided That The Useful Results Of Such Study Are Disseminated To The Public At Large).4 To Advance Such Other Objects Or Purposes Which Are Exclusively Charitable According To The Laws Of England And Wales In Any Part Of The World And In Such Manner As The Trustees May In Their Absolute Discretion Think Fit. In These Articles, "sustainable Development", "sustainable Management" And "sustainable Means" Mean Development, Management And Means That Meet The Needs Of The Present Without Compromising The Ability Of Future Generations To Meet Their Own Needs.
