St John Apostolic Church
Chairman's report to December 2021
Following on from the financial year 2020,it has been a difficult year to the Charity as the Covid 19 pandemic is still upon us and we continue to support communities which are themselves in difficulty but through the hard work of trustees and volunteers ,just like the year 2020, the Charity managed to give in an incredible amount of time and money to raise an income of £57974.00 and a big thank you to them all. The Charity relies heavily on the goodwill and generosity of the local communities we operate in and we are ever grateful for all of their support. A big thank you to the trustees and volunteers for their financial support which helped the Charity in meeting it's obligations.
The Charity was still seized with the effects of the pandemic and was still helping out emotionally and financially local communities and communities abroad in Zimbabwe get through the covid pandemic by supplying funds to buy all the required PPE. Most of funds collected went to support communities in Zimbabwe as most families living in impoverished rural communities still needed our support and teaching on how to stay safe. Our assemblies still stayed closed for most of the year but this did not deter our beloved volunteers in supporting financially for this cause.
The Charity continued with it's fundraising of funds for our local project of buying our own building in the UK where we intend to support the needy and the homeless and our pot now sits at £38 333.00 and a big thank you to all those donating for this cause.
Just like the year 2020 there was a delay in submitting our annual returns for the year 2021 due to circumstances caused by the pandemic but looking ahead we will strive to complete the remaining annual returns for 2022 in the near future. We continue to look forward receiving more volunteers so we can meet all obligations. Thank you again to all volunteers and trustees for all the support in these difficult years.
