We have-￿55 regular rowers from the LOS. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identfying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to sociely as a whole. We aim to make rowing an inclusNe sport, encouraging a sense of team spirit, cooperation and perseverance. We want lo show that state schools can compete with the best clubs and independent schools. We want to inspire pupils and promote social mobiSty. We encourage our rowers to be the bèst they can. Pa 1.20 2024 has been a year of change for the Club. We have changed a number of trustees and have a new President. We have implemented the rxing vs. recreational offering wtth a number of Ihe J15s and older groups. We presentèd our first irl racin double. Addltlonal Inforniatlon (optlonal) You ma choose lo include further statements re￿Vent about. We had a Smaller than usual intake in J14s in September 2024 wtt￿h is impacting our cash flow as well as having a future downstream effecl on Cohort size. J15$ are still a large and high perforniing group. J188 have a CO￿ group and a few mora recreation81 participants. A few J17s came back after a hiatus due to their previou8 GCSE year (J161 and J18$ are a strong core group of dedicated roHers. In 2024, we had circa 50 regular meM￿r3. We took part in 8 number of local and nat￿nal regattas, Including NSR in Nottingham which was a seminal moment forJ14s. As well as a pub quiz In Aprfl 2024, we ran large fundraL8ing event in September which raised nearty £10,000 with GiftAid. This allowed u$ to confidently start the 202412025 season. We are being dutiful in gathering GiftAKI infomwtion from contributors to maximise income. It is also cruGial that we maintain a regular series of fundraising evenls to enable us to cover wnnin Achieverrnts against objectives 88t PerformarKe of fundraising actNltie8 again8t objectrrfe8 set P•rn 1.41 Investment performance against objective8 P4r4 1.41 From a cost perspective. we had lo recognize some increases in the running rate for the coaching staff in line with the general increase in the infLalion rate. We hope that most of our J15s will transfer to the J16 cohort in sprte of the challen es aSS￿l81ed with Ihe GCSE ear. Financial Review Revlew of the charity's financial position at the end oflhe period P•r• 1.21 The charity continues to reduce the cash reserrfe gNen the increased costs of running the club. To supp)rt our cash flow, we have had lo increase our suggested monthty donation to £70 and £75 per month in order to supwrt increased coaching and boat Storage costs. This wa5 broadty well accepted by families who understsnd th reasons behind the increase allhough required significant chasing for direct debits to be amended. We have 8 numb8r of familie8 who cannot contribute to this level and we continue to supwrt them in line with our club ethos. The resep4es are represented ty the boat inventory. We have in the past few years sold boats to clear the excess and allow the club to clear debt. We hope not to have to sell further boats.
