Public benefit Public benefit is ai the heart of what it means to be a charity. Two key principles define this area-. l. There must be identifiable benefits. 2. The benefiis must be to the public. The Trustees have reviewed the aciivities undertaken for the public benefit and confimi their compliance with this duty. Volunteers Volunteers visit th¢ eentre every week to help care for and feed the animals. The Trustees would like to thank the volun(eer5 for their hard work. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Charitable Activities During ihe past year we have continued to rescue and find home5 for allirnals. In addition, we continued to care for animals ai our c¢ntr¢. During lh¢ year ¢nd¢d 31, October 2024 the animals accepted in£luded horse5, goats, sheep, ducks. pigeons. and pigs. Each day 365 days of the year usually six volunteer5 are pr¢s¢nt with tasks including mucking out, grooming. and h¢lping with aninial husbandry, fe¢ding, and manure removal. The volunteer5 total 20. An outsid¢ solid ground area was created that give5 animals in the N iniertime protection from standing on mud and water that can cause harni to their health. This rost £42.000 in 2022-2023 and £26.850 in 2023-2024. Coronavirus Trusiees have ensur¢d that the wellbeing of animals and volunteers is safeguarded. The re5pon5¢ from the community, donors and the local authority has ensured that the charity has survived through th¢ coronavirus.

During the year to 31 * October 2024 donation income exceeded expenditure to allow £26,850 payments for ground improvements. Bank balances have reduced. The Trustees would like to thank all those that gave donations and grants. Reserves policy The Trustees have reviewed reserves &% follows.. The amounts are rounded for clarity. The average amounts of monthly expenditure have been £1.200. The bank balance has fallen to £6,600. This need5 to be 5uffi¢ient io ¢ov¢r point5 when the day-lo-day timing of expendiiure i5 ahead of income to prevent the account going overdrawn.
