Friends of Playbox Financial summary report 2020/2021.

Our last AGM was held in January 2020 with our successful quiz and fish and chips evening. At that time, we reported the Friends of Playbox accounts and balance up to 31/12/19. Who knew at that time what lay ahead or indeed how much more vital fundraising for Playbox would become?

At the end of our financial year which is 31[st] March in 2020 at the start of the pandemic we had a bank balance of £2,154.61.

Throughout 2019, as per previous years, fundraising came from

The focus of this financial report is for the period 01/04/20 - 31/03/21.

Throughout this period, we continued to raise funds through the sources mentioned previously with the addition of Amazon Smile, which anyone can sign up and select Friends of Playbox as their chosen charity.

We had very successful Christmas and Easter Raffles raising £825 and £680 respectively.

However, the most important sources of funds this year has been from the support of members, their friends and families, and alumni. By setting up the Justgiving pages it has enabled Friends of Playbox to benefit from donations and fundraising efforts and we also receive the automatic payment of gift aid from HMRC.

We know Mary, Stewart, Emily and Juliet have thanked you all individually, but your support is invaluable and appreciated so much.

Collectively the fundraisers and donations have totalled £66,267

In the last 12 months it has enabled Friends of Playbox to allocate vital funds to playbox of £42,000. As at 31/03/21 the bank balance was £25,942.00

Expenses this year have been kept to a minimum with the only payments being for Justgiving fees, star costs and the lottery licence to enable us to have raffles.

Full detailed accounts are being prepared and audited prior to submission to the charity commission.
