We prepared for four concerts in this period. on 27 March, 3 July and 4 December 2022 and on 26 March 2023. All concerts were open to the public, and our conductor provided a short oral introduclion to each piece of music Ihat supplemented information in the programme notes. On 28129 January, we held a weekend workshop on Beethoven's 91h Symphony that was very well attended by players, many of whom do not play regularly wilh the orchestra and by singers, and which culminated in an informal performance open to members of the public. The workshop was attended by members of Apollo Music Projects, a charity Ihat lakes live music into primary schools in Hackney and Islington, and one of their trustees gave short talks to the assembled musicians and the audience about their work.
