Maln activities undertaken to further the charlty's purposes for the public benefit The Charity made a donation of £140,482 12023.. £865,057) during the period. The donation was lo Addenbrookes Charitable Trust, towards a new children's hospital based al Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Achievements and perfomiance a. Investment policy and performance The Trustees are mindful that a prudent and conservative investment policy is the most appropriate for the Charity. Going concern After making approporiale enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources lo Continue and that donations from the trustees and their family will ¢onlinue, meaning the Charity will remain in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, the Iruslees continue to adopt the going con¢ern basis in preparing the financial slalements. b. Constitution The Pemberton Family Charitable Trust is a registered unincorporaled charity, number 1140888, and is consliluled under a Trust deed dated 11 February 2011. b. Methods of appointment or electlon of Trustees Future trustees musl be appointed by resolution of the Trustees passed al a Iruslees, meeting. Every future Trustee musl sign a declaration of willingness lo act as a Trustee of the Charity before he or she may act as a Trustee. Training is given as necessary on appoinlmenl. Organisational structure and declslon-maklng policies A¢cording lo the governing document there shall be between three and seven Trustees, or a sole corporate Iruslee. The trustees musl hold al least two meetings each year. A quorum al a meeting of the Trustees is two Trustees {or. in the case of a sole corporate Iruslee, one) and every issue may be determined by a simple majority of the voles cast al a meeting of the Trustees. Accountlng policies 2.1 Basis of preparatlon of financial statements The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statemenl of Recornmended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their a¢¢ounls in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffeclive 1 January 20191. the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011. The Pemberton Family Charitable Trust meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise slated in the relevant accounting policy. 2.2 Going concern The Trustees are confident that the charity has adequate reserves and resources lo continLJe operations for the foreseeable future and is well palced lo manage ils business risks suc¢essfully.
