Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year As a leadership team, we meet once a month. firstly to consider the programme of events, update us on financial matters, then consider any facilty matters and also respond to any ongoing matters. Our Ghurch membership has fallen slightly from twenty-three members to venty. This is a resutt of three members leaving during the year. The treasurer reported that total receipts for the year at £54.5K with a surplus of £9.8K, this was due to two main rtems not included in our original budget One was the ongoing impact from COVID-19 on activities during the year and the other was the continuing vacant role of our minister. We have continued to engage wtth our mission partners dunng the year to update us on their work. We have also taken a review of our partners and seen fft to revise the list according lo their current need Also, we have added one-off donations for specffic needs. We continue wrth our Close relationships With other ¢hur¢hes in Watford to promote the Christian faith aixoss our town. We also continue with pulpit exchange. Toddler Group, which meets on Friday momings, is a place where the world ¢omes into our church weekl Many who come along are a long way from their families across the wodd. The sessions are a buzz of activity, wrth the opportunty to build relationships. Following Jesus, example of coming to people, we a￿ able to support people in their difficulties and thus eam the right to move on to matters of faith. We can be Jesus, visible presence to people by serving them. The multicultural and multilingual integration at Toddlers had been recognised, described by one attender as 'like heaven on earth.. In tenns of our facilities the main rtem to report for the past year is as follows.. The membership took the decision to refurbish the Mansè (official residen￿ of our Minister- the posrtion currently being va¢ant}. To ensure it was in a suitable state for a new minisler or to be rented out at a later date. As much as possible routine maintenance tasks have continued throughout the year despite the obvious impacts thai COVID-19 has caused. A large amount of specialist work was carried out to Continue to navigate us through the safety regulations in order to make the church and hall buildings ready and COVID-19 secure, as required by the evolving regulations upjated throughoul the year. During this coming financial year. the amount and type of facilities work that will be undertaking will inevitable be InflUen￿d to a large degree by covit>19 and the revolution of restrictions. In addition to activrties fomially linked to the churth, various members also served as volunteers in other local charities and organisations, e.g.. Altematives Watford, Watford Schools Trust, YMCA, Pea￿ Hospi￿ and one member is a trained Hope UK facilitator. TAR March 2012
