NPF is a user-led organisation, part of the worldwide self-advocacy movement for people with a learning disability (LD). Our members are people who identify as having a LD, & are diverse in terms of age, ethnicity, abilities, & social circumstances. We run empowering projects, training courses & consultations.

Objects: To Relieve The Needs Of People With Progressive Learning (learning Disability) Within The City And Surrounding Area Of Newport, South Wales And To Develop Their Capacities So That They May Better Participate In Their Society, Inparticular But Not Exclusively By:a) Developing Self Advocacy Skillsb) Helping People With Progressive Learning To Meet Their Own Needs And Access Available Services.c) Liasing With Statutory Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And Service Providers To Help Identify And Meet The Needs Of People With Progressive Learning
