Activities
The Charity arranged the replacement of a wooden 'hut' and now manages the running and development of a Community Pavilion sited on the Village Green at Swavesey Cambridge consisting of changing rooms, a kitchen and community room. These facilities are available for hire to local community groups and members of the public for appropriate activities in order to fund the upkeep of the Pavilion.
Objects: To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Swavesey And The Surrounding Area ("The Area Of Benefit"):(a) The Participation In Healthy Recreation In Particular By Acquiring Or Providing Facilities, Grounds And Premises For Playing Amateur Sports And Team Games Including, But Not Limited To Cricket And Football And By Providing Or Organising Coaching And Training To Assist And Encourage Them To Play Amateur Sports And Team Games With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life; And(b) Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Policitcal, Relgious Or Other Opinions By Associating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide, Organise Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason By Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.
