Ilie expectations of FACE seem to have shifted and the nature of the Grani requests we are receiving are Increa51n8ly diverse. We h8ve also Inainiained our communication wirh the Friends of the Ari8licèn Province of Alexandria IFAPAI and the Jerusalem and Middle East Church A5SOClation IJMECAI th3t helps e3ch charity 10 coordinate rheir work efficiently whilst mainraining their specific identily. An essential element of the activities of the Friends of the Anglican Church in Ethiopia is prayer Support for the church in the country and this has been enhanced by periodic reports from St M3tthew's in Addis Ababa and the church in Gambella and Specific prayer requests. Informatio received is shared with our donors both on the web site and through newsletters. Financial Review: At 31" December 2022 we held cash at the bank of £43.0551£46939 in 20211. Within thi5 figure is n amount of £14.010 which is separaiÈly restricted to suppori the work of 51 Maithew's Church in Addis Ababa. The trustees have 3doptÈd a policy ro retain all funds for this purpose in reservÈs unle5$ grant requesis. within the charitable objectives of FACE, are made by Sl Matthew's which the trustees consider it appropriate to agree to fund. Apart from the above, our policy on re5erve5 15 to hold at le35t £10,000 of unrestricted funds ai anv time to en3ble the Charity to respond to emergency request5 lor grants lo the Anglican Churih in f thiopia and the Horn of Africa, eg.. food emergencie5. In normal tirne5, an upper limit on unrestricted reserves has been set at £20,OCK) at the end o13ny rinancial year.
