SHPVCS TRUSTEES REPORT 2024 – 2025

The South Holland Parish Voluntary Car Service continues to provide low cost transport, primarily for health and medical appointments, within the South Holland District of Lincolnshire.

We have a Service Level Agreement with South Holland District Council covering 15 parishes. Each parish contributes an annual precept payment enabling the Charity to subsidise the cost of the voluntary transport provided.

The demand for the service continues to increase. During the financial year April 2024 to March 2025 a total of 5643 journeys were made taking people to hospitals and other health care facilities. Our 50 Volunteer Drivers travelled 164,570 miles.

The increased demand for the service prompted a marketing campaign, funded by a donation from a local organisation, to recruit more volunteer drivers.

We thank our volunteers immensely for the ongoing support in ensuring the Charity meets its objectives and works within its financial constraints. We value the trust and respect placed in the Charity by people using the service offered.

As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145 (5)(b) of the Act.
