The Faculty: manages specialist training in occupational medicine; awards qualifications; supports & monitors CPD; promotes the importance of occupational health (OH) to, and advises, policy makers; supports research to provide an evidence base for OH practice; runs educational events & publishes educational materials & guidance for occupational medicine/health professionals & employees/ers.
Objects: 5.1 To Promote For The Public Benefit The Advancement Of Education And Knowledge In The Field Of Occupational Medicine;5.2 To Act As An Authoritative Body For The Purpose Of Consultation In Matters Ofeducational Or Public Interest Concerning Occupational Medicine;5.3 To Develop And Maintain For The Public Benefit The Good Practice Of Occupationalmedicine With A View To Providing For The Protection Of People At Work By Ensuringthe Highest Professional Standards Of Competence And Ethical Integrity.
