Annual Report and Small Company Audit Exemption

On the trading account total net income was up 5.8% on the previous year despite a 4% drop in bar sales . Higher other income from external funding ,in support of the refurbishment and heat pump installation project, was supported by higher membership and letting fees and new income from the recent investment in EV chargers. Expenses and overheads rose mainly through a higher wage bill and higher running costs offset by a large electricity rebate and ongoing reduction on electricity costs through the recent investment in solar panels.

On the balance sheet current assets increased mainly through an influx of funding for the new refurb programme and a rise in debtors , with significant Vat and Crowdfunder/ Sport England matching funds due in May , offset by a rise in creditors through deferred bills for April payment. The refurb programme is targeted for completion by end June and all loans paid off by end September 2026 .

For the year ending 31/03/2026, the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

No members have required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 47 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibility for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and for the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro entity provisions and have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to the companies subject small companies regime
