Recruitment andAppointment of Monogement Committee The directors of the company are also chartty trustees for the purpose of the charlty law and under the companvs artlcles are known as members of the management committee. As Leicester Pride is an organisation to work spectfically with the Gay Community the management seeks to ensu that this is reflected in the membership of the trusty bodv. Trustee Induction and Training The cUrnt trustees have been connerted with the project for a number of years and each of them have been actively invofved with the practical work of the charities work through volunteering with Leicester Pride. Each new board member has to undergo a period of a 6 month trial period before being put forward for elertion onto the board by their fellow peers. anisation

The charity's main aim is to promote understanding and acceptance of the Gay community with in thls area 0150 encompassing the Heterosexual community $0 as to foster good relatlons. Although this event is an annual event the trustees and board of directors are contlnually meetin8 to ensure the event is a success Ifor all the above mentioned). Leicester Pride strives to work with Leicester City council (hereafter known as LCCI. Leicester Constabulary Ihereafter known as LCI. Leicester Fire servi <heafter known a5 LFSI, and all relevant emergency servlces to promote a safe environment for all. In 2017- 2019 Lelcester Pride in conjunrtion with Trade sexual health had a well being tent on Victorla Park to help promote awareness of matters not Just appertaining to the Gay Community but also the Heterosexual Commun5ty by enablin8 them to have testing for STD'S with an on the stop result. this was a great success and Leicester Prlde in conjunction with the LGBT centre and Trade Sexual Health look torward to being able to supply this on a regular basis. Pride also work alongside with the L.C.C to also help promote diversity withln Leicester and Leicestershire. Public benefit We have referred to the guidance contained in the charity commission's general guidance on Public Benefit when reviewing our aims and objectives. and in planning our futu activities.
