The main activities undertaken in relation to these objects have been the making of grants to SHIMACO (Shirika Maendeleo Chole - The Chole Island Development Corporation), a fully authorised national NGO in Tanzania. 1 These accounts are prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis and include gift aid received after 31 December 2020 relating to donations made before that date, but not gift aid due on some donations received during the period 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021 but receivable after 31 December 2021.

2 The principal donor to the IT fund, which covers maintenance of the Learning Centre IT system, tuition and instruction in IT and provision of laptops to university students, has agreed that any unspent funds at the year end may be transferred to the General Fund.
