The main activities undertaken in relation to these objects have been the making of grants to SHIMACO (Shirika Maendeleo Chole - The Chole Island Development Corporation), a fully authorised national NGO in Tanzania. In making these grants the Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

2 The principal donor to the IT fund, which covers maintenance of the Learning Centre IT system, tuition and instruction in IT and provision of laptops to university students, has agreed that any unspent funds at the year end may be transferred to the General Fund.
