No one on the Waterside should have to endure food poverty. The charity collects and redistributes donated food by way of an Emergency Foodbox. This provides three days of nutritionally balanced food by way of a voucher system issued by some 40 agencies who hold Waterside Foodbank vouchers. Waterside Foodbank is part of the nationwide network of foodbanks supported by the Trussell Trust who work to combat food poverty and hunger throughout the UK. Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. This has been despite the pandemic where a system of delivery to clients by volunteer drivers has had to continue. Demand has increased on the previous years with 1241 Emergency Foodboxes being delivered to a totsl of 3702 people 2192 Adults and 1510 children. A total of 35 tonnes of food was donated by the churches. businesses, supennarkets and individuals, and 34 tonnes was distributed. This is the equivalent of providing around 105,240 meals. Financial donations have continued to be given, especially regular donations through the website portal give.net operated by Stewardship. Through the online facilities provided by the FuelBank Foundation, thè foodbank has issued fuel vouch to clients who are on prepayment meters and are at risk of being disconnected due to a lack of finanGe. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charrty trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the Charitie's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions grven by the Charity Commission under section 145(5}{b) of the Act. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination.
