The supply of emergency food for
people who Ilve In the area called the
Waterside. who because of a crisis have
no financial resources to bu
food.
No one on the Waterside should have to
endure food poverty. The charity
collects and redistributes donated food
by way of an Emergency Foodbox. This
provides three days of nutritionally
balanced food by way of a voucher
system issued by some 40 agencies
who hold Waterside Foodbank
vouchers. Waterside Foodbank is part of
the nationwide network of foodbanks
supported by the Trussell Trust who
work to combat food poverty and
hunger throughout the UK.

Additional Aims include:
To provide utilities support by way of
vouchers issued on behalf of the charity
by the Fuel Bank Foundation.
Signposting clients to further help is
extremely important and the foodbank
was part of the planning group for a new
initiative with Fair Share called food
larders. 4 of which operate on the
waterside.

Achievements and Performance

Waterside Foodbank has successfully
completed its 14 year and maintained a
referred service to clients in a crises
situation who have no financial
resources to buy food by providing
Emergency Foodboxes. This has been
despite the pandemic where a system of
delivery to clients by volunteer drivers
has had to continue.
Demand has increased on the previous
years with 1241 Emergency Foodboxes
being delivered to a totsl of 3702 people
2192 Adults and 1510 children.
A total of 35 tonnes of food was donated
by the churches. businesses,
supennarkets and individuals, and 34
tonnes was distributed. This is the
equivalent of providing around 105,240
meals.
Financial donations have continued to
be given, especially regular donations
through the website portal give.net
operated by Stewardship.
Through the online facilities provided by
the FuelBank Foundation, thè foodbank
has issued fuel vouch to clients who are
on prepayment meters and are at risk of
being disconnected due to a lack of
finanGe. The summer vouGhers have a
value of £30 and the winter vouchers
have a value of £49.

foodbank is able to offer Glients a SIM
Card which gives 6 months of free
phone. text and data.
At Christmas a local charity. Dibden
Local Allotments gave £2,000 of Tesco
Gift Vouchers for the foodbank to give
to cliènts to enablè thèn to buy fresh
ingredients for a Chrislmas Dinner. This
was £50 per family, £30 per couple and
£20 per single person.
The foodbank was able to give extra
Christmas bags of food to every Cliènt
in the two weeks before Christmas with
Chrislmas food collected by way of a
national collection weekend at a local
supemiarkeL
The volunteer team has increased over
the year and a stock take was
ompleted and was within the P
margin of error.
During the year online partnership
meetings with New Forest charities
continued and this group was able to
commission Southampton University to
undertake a Cost of Living SuNey and
Report in the New Forest and has
obtained funding from the Trussell Trust
to employ a person to make known and
draw attention to the needs thi5 reports

Independent examinerfs report to the trustees of Waterside Ecumenical Projects
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Trust foi the year
ended 31 March 2022.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charrty trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charitie's accounts carried out under section
145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination I have followed all the applicable
Directions grven by the Charity Commission under section 145(5}{b) of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have come to my
attention in wnriection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any
material respect:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of
the Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no Con￿￿5 and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
