	agreementoncontentandrevisionstothe

	Visionstatements,FiveCommitments(value
	statements)andabrandnewARocha
	CommitmenttoCreationCare.Thesewere
	allapprovedbyvotingatthefirstARocha
	WorldwideFamilyDecision-makingMeeting,

	Asidefromthefoundationaldiscussions,
	participantshadthechancetotalktogether,
	sharemeals,spendtimeinnature,grieve
	thosewhomwehavelost,praytogether,
	learnabouttheworkofARochateams,and
	engageintrainingopportunities —e.g.
	inductionforthreenewARochaOrganisation
	boardchairs.ARochaFranceablyhosted
	theFamilyattheirresidentialcentre.

	ongoing interaction with theological
	seminariesandchurchesinmultiplepartsof
	theworld,inperson,virtually,andviaemail.
ARIwilldevelopaFamily-widepolicy	ARochapublishedaFamily-wideposition
statementandcoordinaterepresentation	statementonfaithandthethreeglobalcrises
basedonthisattheConventionon	(biodiversityloss,climatechange,poverty
BiologicalDiversity(CBDCOP15)being	andinequality)inadvanceofandtobe
heldinKunming,China.	presentedatCOP15:TacklingtheThree
	GlobalCriseswithFaith.Thestatement,
	whichhasbeenpositivelyreceivedbymany
	conservationorganisationsaroundtheworld,
	wasreleasedbecausethere hasbeenno
	significantChristianinputtopreviousCOPs
	oftheCBD,despitetheexplicitmentionin
	CBDdocumentsoftheimportanceoffaith-
	basedorganisationsasessentialinthe
	successful achievement of biodiversity
	targets.Forthisreason,ARochahas
	decidedtoarticulateadistinctivelyChristian
	voiceinsupportoftheneedformuchgreater
	ambitioninthePost-2020GlobalBiodiversity
	Frameworkwhichstartedbeingnegotiatedat
	COP15.

biodiversityareasaroundtheworld.	duringtheyear,includingfromnewareasto
	ARochasuchasCentralAmericaand
	francophoneAfrica,bringingthetotalnumber
	ofFriendsgroupstoeleven.
	FriendsNetworkmeetingswereheldover
	Zoomeveryquarter,withaviewtodevelop
	bonds between Friends, assess their
	strengthsanddevelopmentneeds,and
	providelearningandsharingopportunities.

capacityfromtwonewrolesthatwillbe	2023.WelaunchedthefirstGCFcampaign

CommunicationsManager.	book,APlaceattheTable.
RevisionstoARocha'sbasisoffaith,Five	Afterdetailedconsultation,ARocha'sBasis
Commitments,VisionandMissionwillbe	ofFaithhasbeenretainedunchanged.Anew
developedforconsiderationattheARocha	document,theARochaCommitmentto
WorldwideFamilyForuminJune2022.	CreationCarehasbeenproducedasthekey

	world.Bytheendof2022,theyhadclarified
	theprocessforreachingagreementacross
	theFamily,andhaddeterminedthatthe

	strategicprioritiesanduptofivestrategic
	enablers.TheFamily-widestrategicdirection
	willcovertheworkthatAROsaroundthe
	worlddotogetherandnottheactivities
	carriedoutbysingle AROsontheirown.
