Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic there
were still some joint activities that
were unable to go ahead. However.
The children celebrated “World Book
Day” by dressing up as characters from
a book. We held an Easter/Spring Hat
parade where children made their own
bonnets and we had a parade in front
of the parents/carers in the safety of
the outdoor area. We held a sponsored
obstacle course, where the children all
took part in physical activities and
supported children who were in receipt
of extra funding to access services
which they normally would not be able
to i.e. Reptile Ranch visit.. As
pandemic restrictions started to ease,
parents/carers were invited back into
the session, including one who
becomes our Father Christmas and also
helps with the maintenance of the
outdoor areas.

children who are entitled to 2 year old funding. We have had a number of children with SEN and have provided the parents with support and advice to help their child reach their full potentials. We employed seven fully experienced, qualified and dedicated members of staff and in November recruited another to become a Learning Support Assistant to help with the children with SEN. Through various training opportunities we ensure that they are up to date with all statutory and regulatory legislation pertaining to the pre-school and to help the children in their development and care together with opportunities to online training courses. We operate from a church hall and we continue to have a good relationship with the church members, who remain extremely supportive of the work of the pre-school and are always willing to be accommodating and encouraging about our work with the local community. Unfortunately at the beginning of the year we had to Lockdown due to positive case of Coronavirus at the setting. However, we remained open during the National Lockdown during January-March 2021 and attendance in this time was quite high. During this time, if children were not attending, we continued to stay in touch with our families by email or telephone and families were sent a variety of activities and ideas that they could do with their children whilst at home. We especially made sure that any vulnerable families in our setting were contacted on a regular basis. We were able to raise funds within this year from fundraising activities including: Raffles, Sponsored Event, End of Term photos, Eco bags. All monies raised are spent on new toys/equipment for the children and for experiences like Reptile Ranch and Little Supanovas to visit.

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 The pre-school receives funds via the
