Summary ofth8 main achievements of the charity during the year The Cir&+ail continues to oversee the delivery of the objectives of the charity as set out in the governing documenis. In addition lo the provision of regular acts of worship, most of Ihe eight churches are engaged in some way with children's andlor families, work in their comtnunities (examples being uniformed groups, assemblies, Messy Church, toddlers groups). All of the churches host events (like coffee momings, lunch groups. knit and natter groups, Holiday at Home) for older peopl& that address issues of loneliness, and social isolation. One of the churches. having been a warm space, is developing a role as a community hub. The Circuit continues to develop its partnership with Sunderland SAMBA team, with one of the Circuit ministers being chaplain to the team and the harity as a whole. Restructuring following the covid pandemic is nearly coM￿ete, wilh most of surplus buildings having been sold. This income all¢)WS the Circuit to fund necessary paid administrative roles,. and a new post developing our work with children and families. As the Circuit's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accountds in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act'l. I report in respect of my examination of the Circuit's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and, in carrying out rny examinatlgn, I have followed all the applicable directors fiven by the Charity Commission under section 145151{bl of the Act. Independent Examiner's Statement I have completed my examination.
