Summary ofthe main
achievements
ofthe charity
during the year
The Circuit continued
to develop and oversee the delivery ofthe
objectives ofthe charity as set out in the governing
documents.
The partnership
with other agencies
in the Southwick area ofthe City
continue to develop.
Living with the ongoing
restrictions
imposed
upon us due to the pandemic
has been both challenging
and creative. Challenging,
in terms of
ensudng
that a sense ofconnection
and belonging
was maintained
whilst
being dispersed.
And creative
in that we have embraced
technology
and
the use ofsocial media to support a sense ofchurch community,
as well
as participating
in local initiatives
designed
to support
local communities.
As our buildings
have been restricted
in their indoor use, we have
embraced
ways ofconnecting
with others by creating displays
and focal
points
in our outdoor spaces. From this, new ideas have formed which
will be utilised
in the future.
Many lessons have been learned
around
building asense ofconnection
and community
which
will shape the future work and direction ofthe
circuit.
Looking towards 2021-2022 our aim isto build on all that we have learnt
and in doing so encourage the churches to strengthen
links with their
respective
local communities.
Our mission forthe coming year isto not
simply survive
but to thrive.
The Reserves Policy for the Sunderland
Circuit is to hold a sum

ofthe
equivalent
to 6 months average expenditure.
This should be sufficient to
charity's
policy on reserves
meet any unforeseen
item ofmajor expenditure.
Circuit Reserves fund the Circuit Administrator.

None.
