We have been able to purchase clothing, shoes, memberships to clubs, helped subsidise trips and in some cases white goods for the family home. We received funding from the employees of a corporate company which was used to provide some of the food and presents on Christmas Day which was attended by 150 members of the local community. We received funding from various sources that has enabled us through our Munch Community Food Programme to provide free two course hot meals to anyone in our community every weekday of the school holidays, Thursday tea times throughout the whole year and even Christmas Day. Established in 2017, Munch initially aimed to offer hot nutritious meals during school holidays for children. However, its scope quickly expanded to encompass support for families, seniors. and individuals experiencing isolation or illness. We received funding towards providing food for our Munch Food Pantry which opens most weekdays for a couple of hours where people can pay £5 and in exchange for a minimum of £15 worth of food. It enables us to provide fruit and vegetables for free. Funding was secured to enable fencing of new paddocks to extend the area rented as a small holding to enable students to study horticulture.
