Section C Objectives and activities
The Objects of the Group shall be to educate the public in the operatic, dramatic and light choral arts; to further the development of public Summary of the objects of the appreciation and taste in said arts, and to encourage local talent in the charity set out in its governing document performance of said arts. Presentation of fully-staged shows and concerts, to introduce members of the public to a wide range of musical entertainment and musical styles. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
MAIN SOCIETY
Fully staged productions of ‘Made in Dagenham’ and ‘Little Shop of Horrors’
‘Made in Dagenham’ won the award for Best Musical in National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA) Eastern Region District 6 and was also nominated for Best Overall Production.
‘Little Shop of Horrors’ was nominated for Best Technical Award in National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA) Eastern Region District 6.
YOUTH SECTION (WLOG Rising Stars)
Fully staged productions of ‘The Addams Family’ and ‘That’s Life!’.
‘The Addams Family’ won the award for Best Youth Production in National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA) Eastern Region District 6 and was also nominated for Best Overall Production.
A Rising Stars cast member won Best Young Performer in NODA District 6 for her portrayal of Alice Beineke.
