Para 1.38 |
Any group, organisation or individual who wishes to apply for funding from the Trust needs to complete an application form and have their project endorsed by a serving police officer or a South Wales police staff member. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and the Trust aims to respond to applicants within four-six weeks. All Applications are made via the online funding portal ‘flexi grant’: https://policeandcrimecommissionerforsouthwales.flexigrant. com/ Once an application is submitted it is assessed using the following process: 1. The application is initially checked by the Commissioner’s staff for due diligence and financial scrutiny. Applicants may be contacted for additional information to support this screening. The applications are then discussed with Force colleagues before being presented to the Trustees. 2. If the application is deemed eligible for consideration by the Trustees, it is then reviewed by the grants sub-group at the next appropriate meeting or by email exchange if there is an immediate consensus view. 3. Applications are assessed against our_Outcomes_ _Framework._The grants sub-group assesses to what extent the application helps young people make more positive life choices, have better relationships and experience improved mental and physical wellbeing. 4. Once the final decision has been made, the applicant is notified via the online portal. 5. Successful applicants will be sent a letter setting out the terms and conditions of funding and asked to sign and return a Grant Acceptance form. 6. All grant recipients need to submit a report at the end of their project, providing details on the activity undertaken, the outcomes that were achieved and how the grant was spent. |
