The values of Scouting As Scouts we are guided by these values: Integrity - We act with integrity. w¢ are honesL trustworthy and loyal. Respeet- We have self-respect and respect for others. Care - We support others and take care of the world in which we live. Belief - We explore our faiths, beliefs and attitudes. Co￿peration - We make a positive difference. we COvop¢fdte with others and make friends. The Scout Method Scouting takes place when young people, in partnership with adults, work together b&8ed on the values of Scouting and.. enjoy what they are doing and have fun tak¢ part in adivities indoors and outdoors learn by doing shar¢ in spiritual reflection take responsibility and make choices undertake new and challenging activities mak¢ and live by their Promise. The Group compriscs 55 youth members covering the Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and S¢oul sections. In addition, 28 adults were involved as leaders or administrator8- all of whom gave their services voluntarily. Ivhile the national lockdown measures associated with th¢ COVtD-19 pandemic were easing through th¢ period of this report, adverse impacts on the range of activities and Group costs continued. The Group maintained fac¢ lo fa¢¢ scouting throughout the year using appropriate precautions based on national guidance. An activity day took place at Southall Activily Centre in October 2021 attended by all sections in the Group. Planning took pla¢e for the June 2022 Group Camp to be nm alongside the District Camp. The Group held a Christll￿5 2021 food bank collection in support of the important work by Ealing Food Bank.

The Group did receive Business Support Grants as detailed in the finance rq)ort. Subscriptions from the youth members to assist with utilities, operational, pr¢mises and annual capitation costs continued through the year. Commencing in Autumn of 2021 the Group started a programme to seek additional adult support for the Scout section and across th¢ Group. This filled a numb¢r of key roles within the Group. Towards the Close of the period of this report in March 2022 the Scount section was having difficultie5 in maintaining adult support to continuc with the numbers aand meeting arrangements. The Group's governing d￿UMents are those of The Scout Association. They consist of a Royal Chther, which in turn gives authority to the Bye Laws of the Association and the Policy> Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association. The Group is a trust eslablished under the rnles which are common to all Scouts. Th¢ Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Policy, Organisation & Rules of The Scout Association. At the end of the year incom¢ r¢s¢rv¢s amounted to £173,398. The accounts have been drawn up on a receipts at)d payments basis which is consislent with the previous year. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the 8[th ] GREENFORD (HORSENDEN) SCOUT GROUP for the year ended 31[st ] March 2022.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the 8[th ] GREENFORD (HORSENDEN) SCOUT GROUP you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the 8[th ] GREENFORD (HORSENDEN) SCOUT GROUP accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the 8[th ] GREENFORD (HORSENDEN) SCOUT GROUP as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
