Finance as of the end of 2024. This remains a challenge. God is good, and his people are generous, but we are still unable to pay our way fully and under pay on our parish share. The PCC again took the decision that it was again not able to meet its obligation to the Diocese in full and agreed to pay 70% of the requested Parish Share based on forecasted income and expenditure for the year. The efforts made by the PCC in cutting spending where it can, and the hard work of those who have both given financially to the church directly or have raised funds through various fundraising events resulted in the following. Total Income for 2024 was £67.720.70 (down £6874from 2023 however itshould be noted that thi5 wos only the case beca(J5e the expected Gift Aid return paymentfrom HMRC wus deloyed untiljonuary and therefore doe5 not appeur in the 2024figures). Total expenditure for 2024 was £72,864.15 (£7974 less than the prevlousyear, howevRr we paid 8096 of our PGfi5h Share in 2023. but have spent more on maintenance this yeLyrJ. This resulted in a deficit on the year 2024 of £5,143.45 (note tht7t the gift old cl(71med on donotions received in 2024 but received in 2025 amounted to £5946.43 which more than cover5 this deficit). Do take a look at the detailed report for full information however here are some details which you might find of interest. Income Giving, £27,299 Fund raising and events, £10,605 Hall hire, £11,991 Fees (occasional offices) £12,401 Expendlture Parish share, £37,672 Insurance, £6,895 Church Heating and lighting, £4,381 Church Maintenance, £5,909 Hall management, £4,198 Overall, we are pleased that we have managed to balance the budget but it remains the case that we are not meeting our obligations to the diocese which may have consequences in the future. We do need to make every effort to increase our regular expected income so that we are able to fund the gospel mission in this parish, look after the ancient church of which we are the current custodians, and to pay our parish share in full.

The Gharities trutees consider an audit is not required for this year under s8Ction 43{2)of the Charities Act 1993 ( the act ) as amended by section 28 of the charities act 2006,and that an independent examination needed. It is my responsibility to: 1) Examine the account under section 43 of the Act. as amended 2) FolLow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity 3) To state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examiners Oplnlon My examination was carried out in accordance with Directions given bythe Charity commission. An examinatlon includes a review of the accounting records kept ty the Trustees 8nd a Comparison of the 8ccounts presented with those records. It also includes conslderation of any unusual items of disclosures in the 8ccounts, seeking explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters.
