Chaplaiticy is the provision of religious and pastoral services to people within l(Kal communities who may have specific needs due to their state of life. who face unique challenges, or who are vulnerable and therefore requi sp¢cial accomtnodations to be made. Continued operntion of individual chaplaincie5 reflects not only the changing needs of people in their local communities, but also of contemporary society itself, particularly in relation to social integration and community cohesion. The charity is involved in chaplaincies connected with secular institstions, such as hospitals, prisons. However, for example the youth chaplaincy is re5ponsiblc for nurturing thc character of tomorrow's adults. fortning thetn into active. capable citizens with the confidence required to thrive in modern society. This responsibility grows in importance each and every year and r¢quircs constant focu5 on th¢ tkccds of young people. The youth ministry has a paramount importance to th¢ Missionarics of La Salette and is provided on the parish level as w¢ll as in the secondary schools connected with our parishes and beyond. Som¢ youn8 peopl¢ fonn our parishes made their diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes in July 2022.
Our priests provide p8Stordl provision for the needs of Polish communities in Brentwood and East Anglia diocese. The Trustees have held a high regard to the guidance issued by charity Commission on public benefit and wish to record their r¢¢ognilion to the people who 5UPPOrt the Congregation of Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. Aebievements and Performao¢e SORP reference One of ihe principal activities within each parish is the ¢el¢bralion of Mass by the priests. Approximately 4700 Catholi¢ Christians in the parishes served by Missionaries of La Salette attend services every Saturday ¢v¢nintySunday. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Para 1.20 Naturally the charity does more than just provide weekday and Sunday services-. our priests are keen to offer a range of services during the week and over the course of the year that our comTnunities find both beneficial and spiritually fulfilling. For exatttple, evening prayers of adoration provide a quite intimate and reflective environmcnt for worship of God. Missionaries of La Salette are active leaders in their respective communities outreaching other denominations and faiths. We share our faith with our brothers and sisters from other faiths The Charity supports various missionary activities run by Missionaries of La Salette in Ukraine and Mad&gar.
